Thank you for downloading Cessna Citation X by Gre. The installation procedure, special functions of the aircraft, and other things are explained in this manual. Please take time and read through this document to enhance your experience with this gorgeous business jet aircraft on YS Flight Simulation.

1.- How to Install -

Unzip the pack_gcx.zip you have downloaded to anywhere you want, move the folders named "aircraft" and "user" to the root of YS Flight Simulator and Overwrite both of them.

So if you haven't changed the folder designation upon installation of the YSFlight, it should be something like "C:/Program Files/YSFLIGHT,COM/YSFLIGHT"

2.- Special Functions -

Lowering the flaps switches taxi lights to landing lights. By lowering over 50%, you can close the restroom door.

You can control the cabin light by controlling Bomb Bay Doors.

Full control, I mean fully down, of the VTOL Nozzles gives the aircraft parking condition. It opens the main exit, flight deck door, baggage door, and the closet too. And also the engine stops.

Captain and co-pilot can be moved by turret's control (Captain - Up/Down. Co-pirot - Left/Right). There are other actions assigned to the pilots, so let's find them out!

You can control the lights by controlling Turn ON ⁄ OFF Lights. (Nav, Beacon and Strobe)

3.- Simple Checklist -

To fly more realistic with this CitationX, I made up a checklist that suits to the YSFlight. Please keep in mind that this checklist is only for the YSFlight, and not for those other flight simulators either.

 Checklist

On the HUD of the YS Flight Simulator, there are only TAS (true air speed) and Mach shown as the speed indicator, and there's no IAS (indicated air speed) displayed.

This is the reason why the speeds on the check list is KTAS, not the KIAS or KCAS. You may pretend keeping IAS by setting different TAS every thousand feet referring to the char or by calculating or something, but this is pretty difficult unless you have your co-pilot reading out the proper speeds to you. So, I've listed appropriate speed range regarding to flight level to fly safely.

The maximum speed of this aircraft is M0.99, though this aircraft's engine can push it over the sound of speed. Please be careful not to exceed M1.0. Note that YS flight simulator shows M1.0 even though the speed is still in sub-sonic area. Here's the list of TAS of M1.0 on these altitudes, so please refer to this list when flying over M0.9.

  -Speed of Sound-
  FL140  628kt
  FL180  619kt
  FL240  604kt
  FL280  594kt
  FL330  581kt
  FL360 at or above 573kt

4.- Aircraft introduction -

CitationX is a first class business jet manufactured by Cessna. Cessna had produced numerous aircrafts to world of aviation at high performance and at low cost. This aircraft, CitationX, is not an exception. You can fly over atlantic ocean with its cruising speed just below the speed of sound, Mach 0.92. Faster, longer, but cheaper. CitationX is a shape of every customer and engineer's dream.

To prove it, engineers gave it a smarter fuselage than any other aircraft in its class, powered with more powerful engines, and the main wing was designed by collaboration with the engineers of Boeing B777's main wingm giving the main wing 37degrees of sweep which is really deep in its genre.
Though its first flight succeeded in 1993 and 16 years had passed already and other new airplanes had been produced, this aircraft has the record of cruise speed and no other aircraft can reach their destinations earlier than CitationX.

Of coarse its smart fuselage, powerful engines, and the swept wing gives it such an incredible performance, also its beautiful curves like the unique fillet blending wing to the fuselage contributes its performance.
Its exterior and its performance was fairly attractive to motivate me to bring it in to the world of YSFlight.

The aircraft, CitationX may not be famous for those pilots flying in YSFlight, but I'm very happy if you are interested in this aircraft by using this add-on.

In this package, there are 5 paints with interior or without interior, so 10 models in total are included.
The size of the models are 1.5MB for those with interior, and 1.0MB for those without it. If you are going to use it online, I prefer the CitationX without interior for you to fly with.

CitationX_ribbon ---- Black Ribbon

I found lots of pictures on the Cessna's web site with this paint scheme. I guess the CitationX's painted with black ribbon belongs to the earlier lot.

I didn't put registeration number on the model, because there are multiple number of aircraft with this paint.

Is it Japanese sence feeling the black ribbon kind a odd colour? Please do not mind about the differences you see from the real airplane's ribbons.
CitationX_ribbon2 ---- Gold and Blue Ribbon

You know, this is just a different colour from the black one. But I also found this design on the web.

Not like the airliners, these airplanes' design may be chosen from few templates, so most of the paints you can find in real world can be reproduced by only changing colours.
CitationX_lines ---- Gold, Black and Red lines

Simple design with only 3lines drawn on the fuselage.

There were other design too, but I chose this from its simplicity. The colour co-ordination of gold, black and red which reminds me of a text book of colour designings, and the big logo on the nacell the key point of this model.
CitationX_lines2 ---- Black, Blue and Gold Lines

I've arranged the real world's design with the ribbon paint scheme. Due to its quiet colour, the aircraft's appearance became more elegant I like this one the best.
CitationX_White ---- no paint

No paint model for repaints. Some may say that no paint should be like the metallic one or something showing its components, but I thought no one would need them so I painted it white.

By the way, there are components for repaint, like the rudder itself or each doors by itself, so if you want those parts by itself for specific painting, please let me know. I mean contact Gre for those parts.

You may distribute your repaint to public, as long as it is disclosed that Gre made the original model. Additions to this package is also welcome.

I also made the SFJ version too, but it was too unrealistic so I've omitted it from this package.

5.- Reference and Special Thanks -

To make this model, the sites listed below helped me. (Only few, though)

CESSNA.COMOfficial web site of Cessna. There are lots of HighRes pictures in Multimedia and Gallery pages, so almost all of my research had finished within this web site.
It's just like it, the manufacturer of the CitationX, that the web site is designed very well and it should be promoting their sales too.

航空の現代:セスナサイテーション
(Today's Aviation: Cessna Citation)

The web page of Citation series from well known "Today's Aviation".
I got to know the history of the Citation series from Mr.Nishikawa's neat discription.

AIRLINERS.NETEverybody knows. One of the world's largest and finest aviation photo album.
I've got to know lots of things that I shouldn't have known, like the same airplane changes its design several times.

To make srf files and dat files, I referred to the Takaty-'s YSFlight addons such as 737 and Q400.

Other than that, I've also referred and earned ideas from lots of other addons like the ones by CHF, Makoto, and so on. I appreciate all those people made those great add-ons for YSFlight.

The pilots, captain and Co-Pilot onboard my CitationX are the ones from the Takaty-'s 737 add-on. Special thanks to Takaty-'s kindness.

The things I've changed on the pilots are, angle of their legs, and colour of their clothes. The tie of the captain is changed to deep red to represent her proficiency, and the tie of the co-pilot is changed to blue showing she's still a rookie. As the CitationX is manufactured in the US, I changed the colour of the co-pilot's ribbon to yellow. It means "wish a peace of lover".
